Seeking Animators and Managers



Hydrogen Whiskey Studios is ramping up for production on game cutscenes for a super exciting HI PROFILE title for the Kinect.




Duration:

Now filling positions to begin 7-25 & 8-1

and ending Sept. 23 (poss longer)

1). Cinematic Animators, various levels. *most filled*

**NOW hiring intermediate & Senior LAYOUT ANIMATORS**

  • In-game and engine experience, a major plus.
  • Perforce experience, a plus.
As a senior or lead, you have minimum 4 years relevant experience working with Maya and preferably with game cinematics specifically. You will work closely and directly with HWhiskey 's Producers and Directors. You will be expected and relied upon to manage your assigned team, identify and leverage its strengths and talents, and to effectively communicate and strategize best practices for overall success!

As intermediate or entry level
, you have relevant Maya and/or animation training and/or experience and can work well in a team. You will take direction from HWhiskey and publisher Directors and report to your team lead. Deadlines are tight. Team collaboration and open communication is key. Be ready to expand your talent to greater heights, and learn from team members as you input your creativity.


2). PRODUCER / Project Manager **FILLED**:

  • Determine, document, track, manage and report project scope, goals, timelines and milestones, and collaborate and work closely with Team Leads, Directors, and Producers to ensure project success and timely deliverables of highest quality output.
  • Plan and manage internal and external communications to ensure effective exchange of assets, information and deliverables between team and client.
  • Create, maintain and “own” asset, task, scene, and QA tracking sheets, clearly communicable to team members, outside development partners, and publisher.
  • Anticipate, identify, troubleshoot and resolve conflicts between dependency availability, schedule, budget and goals.
  • Set optimistic and enthusiastic tone; promote open communication, teamwork, and FUN.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities: expertise; integrity; forward-thinking; collaboration; hard work; compassion; excellent communication skills.
  • Provide an interface for communication between the publisher, outside development partners, the creative team, and management.
  • Schedule, and hold, daily and weekly internal project meetings.
  • Attend conference calls with outside development partners, publisher and licensor reps.
  • Maintain open communication and transparency with Producers and Directors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in project management in games, animation, or applicable entertainment industries.
  • Experience managing game cinematics specifically, a big PLUS.
  • In-game and engine experience, a major plus.
  • Perforce experience, a plus.
  • Proven successful track record in managing and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Must be a strong organizer, problem solver and personable.
  • Expert knowledge of management software, for example Excel, MS Project, Alien Brain, Outlook, and an understanding of version control.
  • Ability and willingness to bring your ingenious input to the table!


3). Production Assistant: ** FILLED **
  • Assist Project Manager, Directors and Producers, as needed to support production, including updating project boards, and the like.
  • Making travel arrangements for executives and clients, as needed.
  • Other tasks as will be required.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment, juggling multiple priorities and changing timelines
  • Strong Internet skills
  • PC skills (Windows, Word, and Excel preferred)
  • Experience in the video game industry helpful


4). Office Manager / Administrative Asst. ** FILLED **

  • Office management tasks, including answer very lite phones, taking and delivering messages; up-keep of office organization and cleanliness.
  • Anticipate and coordinate daily studio needs, including office and kitchen supplies.
  • Run errands, as needed.
  • Search for best deals on equipment and supplies
  • Support all staff, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment, juggling multiple priorities and changing timelines
  • Internet skills
  • PC skills (Windows, Word, and Excel preferred)

5). Assistant Cinematic Director / Animation Supervisor:

  • Assistant to Cinematic Director on production of game cutscenes.
  • Assist with overseeing and scene direction to animators
  • Overseeing engine export process, viewing of scenes in-engine, and accessibility of scene previews at on-sight publisher viewings
  • Capture of scenes for upload access, as needed
  • Work closely with Cinematic Director, Animation Director, and Project Manager
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
  • cinematography experience a must
  • Game and cutscene experience a must
  • Maya experience, a must.
  • In-game and engine experience, a must.
  • Perforce experience, a plus.


NEW POSITION: NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
